BEFORE THE FLOOD:
A. Find how frequently your area gets flooded
B. Keep informed of daily weather condition
C. Securely anchor week dwellings.
WHEN A FLOOD ALERT IS GIVEN
A. Watch for rapidly rising waters.
B. Listen to radio and other media for emergency instructions
C. Evacuate when necessary
D. Disconnect electricity from the main switch
DURING THE FLOOD
A. Do NOT attemto to cross or drive through where water is above the knee
B. Pack vehicles only on high ground with a crack of window open for ventilation
C. Avoid taking refuge under /by urban furniture ( Telecom masts, Bill boards, water reseroirs etc)
AFTER THE FLOOD
A. Re-enter dwellings with caution- flashlight, not lantern because of flammables.
B. Do not turn on electricity main switch until certified safe
C. Do not drink or eat from flood areas untill checked for flood water contamination
